DBA deliver courses that develop people. We delivered an identity to develop their brand. They needed a clear and engaging way to explain what they do to businesses. Something that could cover their breadth of courses, from presentation to writing skills, and the range of levels they’re for, from junior staff to MDs.
The visual style we created showed an exploding diagram - of a person. Influenced by the classic Haynes Manuals for vehicles, it represented the way courses polished, oiled and improved people’s skills. We kept the iconic black and white tones, complimented by a pastel palette. But we added a little humour within the illustrations. For example, those in the design sector received figures illustrated as the stereotypical designer with scalpels and books as the tools of their trade.
The illustration and style was applied to a wide range of materials, in print and digitally. So DBS gained a consistent and recognisable brand presence.
