The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings. They promote the role of architecture in building stronger communities and protecting the environment. Their Yorkshire White Rose Awards were launched in 1996 to celebrate excellence in architecture and the built environment across the region. In 2010, we were asked to produce a prestige winners book.
We wanted to combine architectural elements with strong, factual type, so we built the design around beautifully-shot architectural images. The book also featured 2 distinctive elements with interlocking typography which worked across the 2 covers.
